Auspicious Dates by Month

Good days for weddings, signings, launches, moving and travel — computed from the classical Chinese almanac (Tong Shu).

An auspicious date in the Chinese almanac is determined by the day's officer (建除十二神, the Twelve Day Officers): a cycle of twelve qualities assigned from the day's earthly branch relative to the solar-term month. Success (成), Open (开) and Settle (定) days are traditionally chosen for important beginnings, while Break (破), Danger (危) and year-clash (岁破) days are avoided. DayAtlas computes these from exact solar-term boundaries, not calendar months.
