Auspicious Dates for a Haircut

Traditions differ on haircuts. This list keeps to the one officer whose meaning is unambiguous — Clear (除), the day for removing and cleaning, which classical almanacs also assign to washing and clearing out. Some almanacs additionally allow Success (成) or Open (开) days; if you want a wider choice, look at those officers on the month pages. Break (破) and Danger (危) days are excluded from DayAtlas entirely, so they never appear here.

Clear (除) days. Clear is the almanac’s removal day — the officer traditionally chosen for cutting away, clearing out and washing. It comes round about twice a month, which is why this list is shorter than the others. Break (破), Danger (危) and year-clash (岁破) days are excluded from this list entirely.
